The current discourse on artificial intelligence emphasizes the relevance of data handling for companies, institutions and public administrations. Data management, data governance and ultimately data excellence are the central concepts.

In the course of a multi-method research project on qualitative and quantitative framework conditions and effects of data excellence, questions about the terminology as well as the effects and requirements of handling data in the sense of data excellence at the company and employee level will be investigated.
